**About the role**:
This is an important role in our Transport Planning team that will lead the development of a future shared mobility scheme to operate in Merri-bek. You will be critical to supporting shared mobility services such as e-scooters and e-bike in Merri-bek’s streets while balancing the needs of all other road users. An important part of this role will be to manage and lead Council policy development and programs related to shared mobility.
The Shared Mobility Officer will lead working groups and committees that will assist in shaping the shared mobility policy. You will consult a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including other Councils, State Government agencies and shared mobility operators. We are looking for an enthusiastic and supportive team member to help us offer more transport options to our community with care and professionalism.
**Skills and experience require to perform the role**:
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in transport, with a strong interest in shared mobility services
- An ability to develop Council policy and to lead various stakeholder groups
- Sound written and verbal communication skills
- A commitment to work collaboratively with others to resolve complex issues
