**About the opportunity**

This is a great opportunity to join Bupa as a 12-month Contingent worker. You will be paid a competitive daily rate and will be provided with flexible working / work from home arrangements. The preferred location for this role is Melbourne.

Bupa has a strategic goal of being the most customer-centric digital healthcare organisation, with the use of data as an explicit pillar of this strategy. The Bupa Data Program (BDP) has been established to deliver on this strategy for ANZ. This role is responsible for ensuring the use of data is compliant with relevant legislation and mandates; is used in ways that align with socially acceptable norms; and creates clear and transparent lines of accountability for facets of data and analytic lifecycles. This will assist in the delivery of BDP objectives by delivering, coaching and managing key Data Governance tasks in order to drive safe and compliant handling of high quality data assets that drive business value.

**How can you help?**

The key focus for this role will be supporting the BDP in enabling safe and meaningful democratisation of data and analytics. As part of this, the role will be responsible for:

- Driving the operationalisation of the BDP’s User Access Management Strategy
- Embed Bupa’s Data Governance Frameworks (such as Acceptable Data Use and Sharing) as an ingrained part of day to day operations
- Support effective mitigation of risk associated to unintended or unauthorised disclosure of data
- Support effective management and decision making pertaining to Information Assets through Bupa’s Information Asset Ownership standards and Information Asset Register
- Empower Bupa employees by ensuring they have the right data at the right time
- Support trust in Bupa’s Information Assets by identifying high value opportunity areas for improvement and engagement with the enterprise Data Quality Management processes
- Support the breakdown of data silos

**What do you need?**

Strong relevant experience in a Data Governance related field
- Experience in working on complex programs of work in a data analytics environment
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline
- Deep engagement with ethical considerations associated to the commercial use of data
- An understanding of Access Control Management principles and enablers such as Role Based Access and Attribute Based Access Controls
- Demonstrated strong consultation with stakeholders across a diversity of role types and management levels
- Demonstrated experience in driving data & analytics capability uplift across a complex organisation
- Understanding of applicable legislation
- Desirable: Experience in an Agile Release Train environment
