- Details of the role:

- The Bike Skills Intensive is an opportunity for clients to trial and develop their mobility skills in a power chair. Volunteers will work with our therapy team to support our clients in developing their mobility skills in a power wheelchair. This volunteering opportunity would suit an Occupational Therapy student or a Physiotherapy student.

- Dates: Monday 22/04/2024 - Wednesday 24/04/2024
- Times: 12:30pm - 3:30pm
- Location: The Stuart Centre, Croudace Bay
- Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Assisting clients to use training wheels-
- Assist staff to encourage children to participate in structured games-
- Develop bike balance skills-
- Assist in teaching clients to learn to stop and start-
- Encourage clients to hold the handlebars to steer, propel using pedals, and independently put on a helmet.- Role requirements:
- 16 years and above-
- NDIS Worker Screening-
