The School of Health and Medical Sciences is seeking a highly-motivated academic to join us and make a leading contribution to UniSQ’s teaching and research in the area of sport and exercise science.

**What you’ll do**

Working with a team of highly motivated individuals, your key priorities in this role will be to:

- Undertake independent teaching and research in the discipline of Strength and Conditioning
- Proactively contribute to the outcomes of the School’s learning and teaching quality
- Produce research outputs, in alignment with relevant Centre/Institutes research agendas and areas of University research strength
- Oversee higher degree research supervision and completions
- Engage in externally funded research projects and/or secure external research funding, appropriate to the discipline
- Build capability and the deepening of scholarly knowledge in the discipline and maintaining currency in contemporary learning, teaching, and research approaches.

This position will be based at the UniSQ Ipswich campus.

**What will help you succeed?**

Key to your success in this role will be your relevant formal qualifications, professional membership and industry experience, as well as your academic teaching experience with a specific focus on sports and exercise. Additionally, you will have:

- a Doctoral or master’s qualification
- accreditation with the national governing body
- demonstrated ability and commitment to successfully conduct research and/or consultancy and to generate external research grants and high-quality refereed publications
- an ability to lead community and professional development initiatives relevant to Strength and Conditioning.
- This is an Identified position and is open to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
