We are looking for a skilled bookkeeper to maintain our financial records, including payroll, accounts receivable, reconciliations, regulatory obligations, and payments.

**About the Role and You**

With a keen eye for detail, you will bring a high level of diligence to the role as you ensure that all financial accounts are accurate and always up-to-date. While there are not a large number of transactions, they are increasing, and you will need to be able to competently utilize spreadsheet formulas from time to time to determine amounts to the invoice.

We have a team on the payroll of about 15 people, and you will need to ensure each employee’s details are current and obligations are met.

We use Quickbooks, which you must be very competent in and be able to easily classify payments, perform reconciliations, dig into data to find the root cause of inaccuracies, and assist in building out cash flow forecasts.

Our revenue is invoice-based, and there is a need to ensure that each client’s invoice is calculated correctly through liaison with customer success and input into systems and existing spreadsheets, which you may end up improving.

Ensuring taxation and superannuation obligations are met on a timely basis is critical, and this should be quite straightforward from your perspective.

Detailed reporting and proactive questions should be prepared on a monthly basis and presented to the CEO.

**Responsibilities**
- Managing the day-to-day accounting transactions
- Preparing the monthly accounts
- Use Intuit Quickbooks bookkeeping software, spreadsheets, and other databases to post up-to-date financial transactions
- Reconciliation, preparation, and lodgement of monthly or quarterly business activity statements (BAS)
- Complete data entry and collect transaction details for incoming and outgoing bank accounts
- Managing the accounts payable function including the processing of invoices due for payment
- Managing the accounts receivable function including the allocation of payments
- Credit control of overdue payments
- Processing payroll and other related payroll tasks

**Requirements and Skills**:

- Proven bookkeeping experience
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping, payroll, and accounting payable/receivable principles and practices
- **Strong level of experience in Quickbooks**:

- **Excellent understanding of Australian Payroll regulations and requirements**:

- Expert-level experience with Google Sheets
- Experience with cashflow forecasting software such as Fathom a big plus
- Experience across a wide range of accounting functions
- Strong level of accuracy & attention to detail
- Ability to take responsibility and be accountable for workload
- Strong time management and prioritization skills
- Strong software skills, including Excel and other financial accounting packages

**Job Details**:

**Salary**: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
