- Anglo American Steelmaking Coal**
Steelmaking coal is an essential ingredient in blast-furnace steel manufacture, producing steel used for critical building and infrastructure around the world. In Australia, we operate five steelmaking coal mines in Queensland’s Bowen Basin, and have additional joint venture interests in steelmaking coal and manganese, as well as copper exploration projects underway in North West Queensland and Western Australia.

**Job Description**:
You will also be responsible for:

- Lead as the Functional SME the operational and strategic reward related matters with a minimum 12-month planning focus
- Thought leadership in the capability areas of Reward and Benefits; keeping abreast of internal and external leading practice, and sharing knowledge with the business
- Facilitate the key annual processes from start to end, leading ton on-time, high-quality delivery
- Day to day reward management support for job offers, mobility, benefits, job evaluation, market assessment, and equity assessments (including equal pay government reporting WGEA)
- Analysis and support with the annual reward cycle (salary and bonus) including the preparation and analysis of market data, pay equity reviews and consultation with stakeholders
- Driving communication, training and facilitation of information (e.g. presentations of analysis of market data, analysis of trends and communicating to key stakeholders)
- Collaborating with our internal Payroll and Tax teams on key compliance reporting
- Partnering with our sites and global colleagues on all reward and benefits related matters

**Qualifications**:

- To be successful in this role ideally you will have:

- Ideally at least 5 years’ experience in Reward & Benefits with demonstrated experience leading all key processes (e.g. leading annual salary, bonus, job evaluation, market assessments, benefits managements)
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline
- Strong engagement and stakeholder management skills
- Strong planning and project management skills
- Advanced Excel Skills
- Strong Reporting and Presentation skills
- Ideally knowledge of SuccessFactors, SAP or similar HR Systems
- Experience in gathering requirements and defining report specifications
- Experience in managing projects
