**About this role**
An opportunity exists for an Assistant Advisor Information Management. The role provides support to users of information and records management systems, collaboration tools and the troubleshooting and resolving of issues for our customers. The role also provides advice regarding relevant policies, standards, and legislation to support compliant information management and recordkeeping practices across the agency.

**In this role you will**:

- Draw on your customer service and technical support experience to provide advice and guidance to meet customer needs
- Provide system support activities in accordance with approved procedures to ensure performance, data integrity, security controls to conform with agreed standards
- Educate customers to use information management systems and/or collaboration tools effectively, including developing and delivering training, user guides and other support materials to build information management capability in the organisation
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of information and records management practices and technologies to provide support across the organisation

**To be successful in this role you will need**:

- experience in customer service and/or technical support
- ability to provide system support activities in accordance with approved procedures
- ability to engage with customers and develop and maintain strong relationships
- a strong work ethic with a can-do attitude to work to tight deadlines across multiple tasks in a fast-paced and collaborative work environment.

**About Information Management**
The Information Management team is responsible for enabling DCS employees to work effectively in a digital environment with information that is secure, accessible and well-governed.
There are three teams in Information Management: Customer Partnerships, Information Governance and IM Systems:

- Customer Partnerships provides an information and records management service desk to respond to enquiries from DCS employees about how to manage their information, as well as specialist support for both records management and collaboration using M365 tools.
- Information Governance has a policy and advisory function to assist DCS in managing records in place and complying with the State Records Act 1998 and the DCS Records Management Policy.
- IM Systems supports and administers the TRIM Content Manager and Objective information and records management systems to ensure the health, maintenance and security of information assets captured in those systems.

The Assistant Advisor Information Management role sits within Customer Partnerships and has extensive contact with the other Information Management teams, project teams and other DCS business units.
