Passionate about delivering outstanding library services to our community, you will manage the day-to-day operations of the Safety Bay Library (SBL), including leadership of a small and dedicated team.

You have proven experience in staff supervision, budget management and a working knowledge of State Library of Western Australia operations and practices. You have a passion for providing excellent customer service and for promoting library services and resources to residents. Underpinning this is your commitment to libraries taking their rightful place as essential community hubs, and your ability to identify potential future services and programs that enhance an inclusive library experience for all residents.

You have experience in a customer focussed environment and are able to communicate effectively with members of the public and staff. You have demonstrated skills in problem solving, time management and are able to demonstrate these skills along with your ability to use initiative.

A degree in Library and Information Management or a related discipline and related experience is essential for this role.
- High level of written and verbal communication skills
- High level of time management, organisational and problem solving skills
- Ability to work both individually and as part of a team
- Thorough knowledge of library procedures, practices and systems
- Working knowledge of WHS legislation and policies
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Sound supervisory experience

**We are offering a gross salary of $88,929 per annum (pro rata) and**:

- 11% superannuation with the option to co-contribute up to a further 5%
