**Retail buyer (groceries and other FMCG) - Tullamarine Vic**

Kogan People Solutions are delighted to be working with a global food retailer, whose business retail operations operate across the middle east and south east Asia. Operations included modern bustling supermarkets and hypermarkets and smaller convenience stores, in 230 locations, ranging a very wide range of product. They are opening a buying office in Australia, to bring Australian produce to their global customer base. They are respected for their innovative approach to the supply chain and their passion for quality.

As the opening date approaches, they now seek an experienced qualified full time buyer to join the team. This is a first rate operation: Austrade is assisting with identification and introduction to Australia's best food processors across the packaged goods spectrum.

**Location**

Tullamarine, Vic, travel interstate and overseas can be expected.

Full time, ongoing

Salary

Great salary in the range $70k to $90k plus superannuation, per annum, will be offered to the successful applicant

**Role responsibilities will include**:

- Strategically plan to maximise sales for all grocery categories to ensure budgets and productivity targets are met.
- Source products in line with our client’s strategy and target customer base
- Ensuring the pricing, and offer, meet market requirements at all times
- Monitor revenue, gross profit, productivity and inventory targets and controls
- Establish, grow and maintain productive, positive supplier relationships
- Work closely within budget, quality and time requirements

**What we expect to see, in order to you to be considered**:

- You are well established in the buying function, ideally in retail grocery retailing (minimum 2 years, preferably more) and well-networked in relevant circles in Australia
- Highly relevant professional qualifications (minimum AQF certificate IV or equivalent, or better)
- An analytical and creative mind with planning skills and expertise
- Outstanding communication skills, working with internal and external stakeholders
- A highly organised, flexible, entrepreneurial approach
- Attention to detail
- Solid time management skills
- The ability to forge connections and build relationships
- Relevant language skills
