The Communications and Public Relations Unit is responsible for the service activities
of Media Management; Corporate Communications; Community Engagement; Public
Relations; Marketing; and Crisis Communications; and Policy Management / Training.

The position is responsible for the coordination of corporate marketing activities. This
position assists the Program Leader, Communications and Public Relations to
provide high quality communications, marketing and organisational support to ensure
a consistent, professional and pos i t i ve corporate profile and reputation, the use
of contemporary tools and resources, and to optimize corporate marketing
activities and opportunities.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Actively develop and implement measures to help Council deliver its sustainability
goals.

1Effectively support the Program Leader, Communications & Public Relations
by implementing the Corporate Communications & Marketing Strategy that
includes the service activities of Media Management; Corporate
Communications; Community Engagement; Public Relations; Marketing; and
and Policy Management / Training.
- Coordinate the implementation of Council’s branding guidelines and materials.
- Develop marketing tools and resources, including the development and
implementation of a digital asset management system.
- Participate in the priority project to consolidate Council’s online properties and
further develop Council’s corporate website.
- Provide advice, support and assistance to staff and managers across Council
relating to communications and marketing service activities, including
branding, digital assets, incoming sponsorship and the promotion of Council’s
role, services, activities, projects and achievements.
- Develop marketing strategies for corporate services, activities and products.
- Participate in tourism and corporate marketing activities - digital and print.

**Workplace Health & Safety**

notifying your Supervisor or Manager (or the Health, Safety Manager/Area Safety

**COMMUNICATION

Write detailed correspondence, reports and submissions that require original
sentence and paragraph construction and wording
- The jobholder is required to anticipate and pre-empt customer requirements
and do utmost to meet these. In addition, the jobholder should monitor and
evaluate the effectiveness of customer service provided and recommend
modifications to improve service.
