**About the role**

The Security Analyst is responsible for performing a range of systems security-related activities including proactive monitoring, reactive support, and documentation of security incidents to support the Security Operations team to reduce and manage security-related incidents.

**About You**

You are a security professional with hands-on experience in implementing protective and detective controls and tools as well as performing a range of other system security-related activities including analysis of breaches, assessing metrics and data, and performing vulnerability testing and risk analysis.

You will have good communication skills and be able to offer security related advice and recommendations in accordance with Essential 8 guidelines, to the wider systems group teams and will be comfortable managing cyber security events, incidents, and contributing to the improvement of vulnerability management within TAFE NSW.

- Experience conducting proactive monitoring, managing cyber security incidents and digital forensic investigations.
- Vulnerability management and demonstrated knowledge of patching processes, using risk management processes and appropriate tools.
- Ability to classify, manage and close Cyber Security incidents.
