**Your New Position**:
The Leading Hand is responsible for the IDS employees, operations and processes of the Internal Delivery System and overseeing the delivery of all stock, goods and equipment. The Leading Hand supports the Warehouse Manager, managing the internal distribution processes to achieve all department goals and KPI’s. The Leading Hand must be the face of the Gate Gourmet Core Values and is expected to be constantly evaluating the team output and processes for the continued success of the department will also deputise for the IDS Supervisor in their absence.

**Key Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Supervise the day-to-day operation of the IDS department ensuring the business runs effectively and to ensure all inventory items are collected, delivered accurately and on time.
- Monitors and evaluates the safety of each employee on a daily basis and when required coaches and mentors individuals to ensure they follow safe working practices
- Liaise with Bond Store, Receiving, P&P, W&P managers on aspects of SOH and OS items ensuring internal customer stock satisfaction. When non-compliances are found taking appropriate actions including escalating as necessary to the Warehouse Manager.
- Responsible for daily work allocation of IDS staff as per rosters provided, running daily briefings and executing employee discipline when required as per gategroup work rules.
- Support the Bond Store Manager/IDS Supervisor in creating a weekly roster.
- Support the Bond Store and Receiving Stores management is ensuring stock rotation and FIFO practices are adhered to with the collection and return of all products according to Gate Gourmet policy and procedures.
- Support in the management of the monthly stocktake process.

**We are interested in speaking with individuals who possess**:

- Warehousing experience within a food related environment - highly preferred.
- Experience in supervising a warehouse team.
- Demonstrated commercial awareness skills with the ability to contribute to the wider business process outside the functional responsibilities.
- Forklift license is highly desirable.
- Must have strong verbal and written skills to effectively communicate with all Gate Gourmet employees.
- Strong analytical and numeracy skills are required, along with Computer literacy.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From $25.59 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Afternoon shift
- Morning shift

Supplemental pay types:

- Penalty rates

- Mascot, NSW: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
