Disability Support Worker

Good Directions provides supported independent living for a 27 year old man with autism in North Turramurra, NSW. The house was established in 2019.
We are seeking a compassionate & enthusiastic youth to provide companionship & support. Someone who feels they can contribute towards expanding the skill set and enriching the life of an individual who requires one on one care in his own home and in the community.
**The Role**
We are looking for **male **support workers aged in their 20s to engage with the clients in all aspects of their daily life. This will involve assisting with personal care, meal preparation, administering medications, domestic support, transporting on outings, assisting in the individual planning process of clients' goals as well as community participation and engagement.
**Criteria**
- Experience in supporting individuals with Autism and/or Intellectual Disability preferable but not necessary
- Caring, compassionate & calm with willingness to contribute, learn and make a difference.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team
- Hold a current Australian Drivers Licence
- Be available to work weekday, weekends and sleep over shifts
- Hold a current First Aid Certificate or be willing to obtain one
- Criminal background checks apply.

Expected hours: 6 - 30 per week
