**About Creative Starz**

Creative Starz is a new and diverse performing arts school that provides children the opportunity to learn how to sing, dance and act The objectives are to nurture and encourage children with confidence and creativity to embrace life.

Performing arts plays an important role in helping children to express themselves in a healthy manner. Imagination in musical theatre enables children to think and act independently as a result of improving social awareness and collaboration with others.

Our vision is to bring the full benefits of performing arts to the local community via a social approach. We are looking for an outgoing person with experience working with children aged 6-18. This person should possess strong musical theatre fundamentals and be passionate about sharing his or her craft with the next generation of performers. The successful applicants should have experience working with children of varying ability levels. More importantly, they should feel comfortable organising musical performances. The job starts in late April 2023 in Term 2, and the teacher will teach 1 session (3 hours) a week on Saturday.

**Singing teacher-**
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver effective music education by playing instruments, singing and movements.
- Engage with activities whereby students can experience different musical styles.
- Teach students to play their own melody lines.

**Requirements**:

- Relevant Bachelor's degree in performing arts from an accredited college.
- Previous teaching experience is required.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Energetic, driven, creative, and dependable.
- Attendance at meetings and training in person or on zoom.

**Salary**: From $30.00 per hour

**Experience**:

- Teaching: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Working with Children Check (preferred)
- AUSTSWIM (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)
