The Manager, Coding and Health Records is accountable to Associate Director, Activity Based Management and Funding for the development and management of a specialist health record and clinical classification advisory service to SA Health, with a significant focus on education and auditing. This includes providing expert clinical classification advice (to coders and clinical documentation specialists) and coordinating, developing, providing and evaluating significant work programs to ensure statewide accurate health records and clinical coded data for:

- Department of Health and Wellbeing to develop and maintain strategies relating to service improvement, improving health, monitoring resources and improving management.
- Adherence to statutory requirements at state and national level (including the Health Care Agreement and the National Health Reform Agreement).

**Criminal History Screening Requirement**

SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.

**Special Conditions**
- Satisfactory completion of the Health Information Management Association of Australia (HIMMA) (or equivalent) ICD-10-AM coding course at the intermediate level.
