**About the Role**:
This is a Fixed Term Part Time position to cover Parental Leave for 12 months at 32 hours per fortnight within the Children's Bioethics Centre department.

You will be responsible for providing clinical ethics advice to clinicians at RCH and the institution generally at the discretion of the Executive. You will build capacity in ethics through its education and research program. You will work closely with the Academic and Clinical directors.

**What You'll Achieve**:

- Participate in clinical ethics case consultations, including contributing to discussion, taking notes, contributing to writing reports, and chairing/co-chairing as required
- Participate in providing ethics support to RCH staff in a variety of ways, including ethics debriefs, ethics rounds, individual ethics consults
- Deliver clinical ethics education to: RCH staff (medical nursing, allied health, administration) at departmental meetings and other educational activities on the RCH campus; and to professional networks and meeting at local and state level
- Provide support for the Academic and Clinical Directors in the development of guidelines and policy advice about ethical issues relevant to the RCH
- Contribute to research projects relevant to the work of the CBC, as required and in consultation with the Academic Director

**Your Skills and Experience**:

- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and post graduate bioethics and/or clinical ethics training
- Post-graduate qualification (or working towards one)
- Proven capacity for leadership in a team environment and ability to work well as a senior team member
