Children's Health Queensland provides services from key locations in the Brisbane metropolitan area and works with the 15 other hospital and health services as well as NGOs and charity partners in Queensland to deliver an integrated network of healthcare services and support across the state.
**Your Opportunity**:The position of the Director of the QIPPPS will**:
- Provide specialist clinical care to patients and assume overall leadership and responsibility for the development and delivery of specialist interdisciplinary services in Paediatric Persistent Pain. In addition, to provide professional leadership to medical staff and operational leadership to the QIPPPS team (allied health, nursing, administration), and to be an active medical contributor to the interdisciplinary treating team.
- Provide leadership for the QIPPPS educational and research activities and broader collaborations. This ensures the high quality and progressive care QIPPPS both delivers and supports.
- Provide and work towards coordination, training and supervision of the specialist trainees of the Faculty of Pain Medicine, Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists, and/or other medical colleges as required.
- Provide tertiary level Paediatric Persistent Pain Services that ensures the provision of high quality, equitable, sustainable and family centred care to children and young people throughout Queensland and Northern NSW and provide support to various services across Queensland in accordance with the QIPPPS Model of Care.
