**Job Summary**: As a Montessori Childcare Trainee, you will be immersed in the Montessori approach to early childhood education. This role requires a passion for working with children and a commitment to understanding the Montessori philosophy and methods. You will assist in creating and maintaining a nurturing, stimulating environment that fosters the physical, emotional, cognitive, and social development of young children.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Assist with Classroom Activities**: Support the lead teacher in preparing and maintaining the Montessori classroom environment, ensuring it is safe, clean, and conducive to learning.
- **Observe and Learn**: Actively observe the Montessori teaching methods and learn how to guide children in self-directed learning activities.
- **Engage with Children**: Assist children with their activities, ensuring they are engaged and using materials appropriately while respecting their individual learning pace.
- **Collaborative Learning**: Work closely with other staff to develop your understanding of the Montessori approach, including attending training sessions and team meetings.
- **Communication**: Help maintain open and effective communication with parents, colleagues, and the wider school community.
- **Health and Safety**: Uphold the health and safety standards of the centre, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for the children.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Interest in early childhood education and the Montessori philosophy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team.
- Willingness to learn and undertake professional development.
- Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude towards working with children.
- Prior experience in childcare is advantageous but not essential.

**Education**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; further education in early childhood education is a plus.

**Training**: Comprehensive training on the Montessori method and philosophy will be provided, with opportunities for further professional development.
