Nielsen Funerals are a family owned and operated funeral home. We are offering a newly created full time position to join and assist our team of dedicated people. This would be a flexible all-round role assisting with every aspect of funeral services.

Typical duties would include:

- Setting up cemeteries for funerals (chairs, canopies, etc - includes some heavy lifting)
- Cleaning and maintenance of vehicles, equipment and grounds
- Setting up and assisting on Funeral Services
- Setting up and operating audio/visual and P.A. systems
- Transfer of the deceased
- Assisting our Embalmer with the dignified dressing and preparation of the deceased
- Ensure funeral directors instructions are followed to enable the smooth running of the funeral.

The care and dignity for the deceased and attention to detail is crucial.

This is a hands on role which is physically demanding with significant lifting.

You must have the ability to work as part of a team and have effective problem solving, communication and time management skills.

A professional presentation and manner is essential.

A Clear Police record and current full Victorian driver's licence is also required.

This is a full time position, Monday to Friday. Some after hours assistance may be required for transfers of deceased persons and weekend funeral services.

Previous experience is not essential as full on the job training will be provided. This is a very rewarding career for the right applicant.

Because of the nature of the funeral industry, and after hours on call arrangements, living within 20 minutes of Warragul would be preferable.
