**The Organisation**
This Canberra based not for profit was established in 1991 and under the auspices of the NDIS, provides support services to people with intellectual impairment by assisting them to live in, and be part of, the Canberra community. With over approximately 200 staff and a budget of over $25m it is embarking on its next strategic phase of evolution.

**The Role**
The Chief Operating Officer will play a vital role in the implementation of the organisation’s strategy through the delivery of high-quality support across Finance, Human Resources, IT, Governance and Compliance and Administration to allow the organisation to operate in a contemporary and best practice manner.

Working closely with the Chief Executive Officer and as a member of the Executive Team, you will also have the key responsibility to work across the organisation to understand their current needs and develop new systems, policies and processes that allow the organisation to deliver high quality services to their clients.

**About You**
To be considered for the position you will be a high calibre, professional individual with the following attributes:

- Strong financial literacy and ability to prepare meaningful financial reports for management and the Board.
- Demonstrated experience in a senior management position being capable to develop and motivate your team in implementing change to ensure best practice.
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to communicate with influence
- Demonstrated experience in working as part of an effective Executive Team and working with the organisation’ multiple stakeholders (internal and external)
- Strong systems development and implementation experience
- Relevant tertiary and professional qualifications.

Knowledge of and/or experience working within the health sector (and specifically NDIS) would be advantageous.
