**About the Opportunity**

An exciting opportunity has become available for a dedicated and experienced Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Advisor to join our team in Rowville. You will be responsible for managing all HSE matters on the site and driving continuous HSE performance improvement while ensuring that all HSE activity are in line with the Site Safety Plan and National Safety Plan.

As a HSE Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the well-being of our employees, and the overall compliance with health and safety and environment regulations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and oversee HSE policies, procedures, and initiatives. Your insights and guidance will be crucial in fostering a culture of safety consciousness and environmental responsibility.

Key accountabilities include:

- Assist in the development of site safety plans.
- Manage trade waste compliance in line with the Trade Waste Agreement.
- Maintain a strong operational ‘presence’ across the site.
- Coach and mentoring team leaders and managers in safety processes.
- Drive safety improvement through initiatives, training, and coaching.
- Initiate, coordinate and deliver safety training programs leading to safety performance improvement.
- Assist site teams to Investigate all incidents and accidents to ensure they get to root cause.
- Assist teams to conduct safety audits, hazard identification, risk assessment and accident prevention programs.
- Assist teams to implement HSE procedures based on approved company policies.
- Managing and reviewing costs associated with waste disposal, water and safety expenses.
- Manage workers compensation and return to work programs for injured employees within the site.
- Assist sites in the development of emergency processes.

**About You**
- Tertiary qualification in Workplace Health and Safety.
- Solid understanding of relevant HSE regulations and standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Strong organisation and time management skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical skills to assess data, identify trends, and propose effective solutions.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and HSE management software.
