Unique Medical is friendly modern Doctor owned surgery. Our commitment is to provide accessible, affordable medical services in a modern, safe and friendly environment. We are currently looking for a mature, motivated and professional Receptionist to join our team.

Key Selection Criteria:

- Experience in medical practice
- Excellent people skills and ability to work in a team or alone
- Genuine desire to assist our patients, staff and General Practitioners
- Possess a strong work ethic and reliability
- Good computer skills (Best Practice experience )
- On occasion be able to cover shifts for personal or annual leave.

**Duties include**:

- Answering calls, greeting patients, booking and rescheduling appointments.
- Prepare and record outgoing mail and post daily.
- Open and distribute incoming mail.
- Scan, fax and/or file patient correspondence, or as required.
- Any other administrative duties as directed by the Manager or Principal Doctor.
- Creating invoices online claiming to Medicare.
- Knowledge of Best Practice preferred.
- To actively participate in general staff meetings.
- General housekeeping such as tidying and cleaning of waiting room when necessary.
- Undertake other duties as required from time to time as directed by the manager, nurses and doctors.
- Maintain knowledge of, and comply with, workplace health and safety principles including infection control.

- Desired experience as a medical receptionist
- Flexibility and availability to work when required, mornings, evenings, weekend - when other staff on leave.

- Represent the practice in a confident and positive manner at all times.
- Undertake all duties in a diligent manner, with honesty and integrity.
- Maintain absolute confidentiality regarding patient and practice information.

- Demonstrate commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Participate in the practice risk management and quality improvement processes.
