The role of Project Officer is responsible for assisting the contracts manager in the planning and delivery of Council's maintenance contracts including, but not limited to Road Maintenance Council Contract (RMCC) Ordered Works, line marking and guardrail that support maintenance service delivery within the Central Coast region, through the effective management in accordance with specified quality, cost and agreed timeframes.

This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.

**Key activities of this role include**:

- Plan, coordinate and deliver programs to ensure the effective and efficient utilisation of staff, contractors and resources to achieve high quality, cost effective outcomes, including delivery of project feasibility, estimates and investigation
- Provide effective support and assistance to the Contracts Manager Program Delivery in the delivery of a range of organisational initiatives which relate to maintenance service delivery that could have a significant political and/ or financial impact on the unit
- Conduct regular site inspections and testing to ensure that work carried out in compliance with work plans, technical specifications and relevant standards and/ or legislation

**_About you:_**
- You have qualifications in Project management, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related field with knowledge and experience in pavement and line marking practice
- You have experience in delivering a range of infrastructure and/ or service projects
- You have experience managing various external stakeholders and priorities at the same time
- You enjoy sharing your knowledge and expertise, while also learning from others
- Having a work/life balance is important to you

This role provides a commencing salary range of between $79.3k to $95.2k per annum dependent on skills and experience + 10.5% superannuation.

A leaseback vehicle is provided in this role for official duties and private use and your choice of vehicle will be provided when one becomes available in accordance with Council’s Vehicle Policy. In the meantime, either an alternate pre-used vehicle or a vehicle allowance of $165 per week ($8,580 per annum) is temporarily applied for this position due to ongoing issues with supply for new vehicles.

A 9 day fortnight work-cycle currently applies to this role with flexible/hybrid working arrangements available.
