**Database Manager/Analyst - Immediate Start**

**About the Role**:
The College is currently seeking an experienced Database Manager/Analyst to work in its busy on-campus IT Department in an ongoing, full-time capacity. This is a new position.

Come join our small, tight-knit, supportive and friendly IT team, playing a vital role in ensuring the overall integrity, capacity and security of the company's data, to design logical and physical databases and to co-ordinate database development and related projects.

**Responsibilities may Include**:

- Create and administer BI dashboards and scalable database solutions for the College and departments, ensuring smooth functionality, integration with other databases including performance and security.
- Develop and configure APIs as required to facilitate data exchange between different systems.
- Assist in designing and implementing data integration solutions between various systems, including web APIs and direct databases.
- Develop technical and training support to users. Research and suggest new database products, services and protocols. Developing database solutions to store and retrieve company information.
- Collaborate with internal teams, and stakeholders to understand and address their database or BI requirements. Communicate effectively to provide recommendations, and guidance related to database and BI and database development.
- Implement and enforce data integrity and security measures, including data encryption, access controls, and compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Monitor and optimize the performance of Microsoft SQL and other databases and dashboards as required.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for cloud and on-premises databases. Investigate and resolve problems in a timely manner,

- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations, such as the Australian Privacy Principles, and staying current with the latest standards, implementing necessary measures within the database environment.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of database configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Generate regular reports on dashboard performance, capacity and utilization for customers and management.

**Key Selection Criteria**
- Minimum 3 years of proven experience as a BI Database Administrator or in a similar role within a school environment.
- Experience in database management and troubleshooting within Office 365 and Azure environments.
- Sound understanding of data integrity, security principles, and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for Office 365 administration and automation.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Experience in managing multiple tasks and operating within a school environment.
- Demonstrated high level customer service skills.
- Ability to cope within a high-pressure environment - staying calm and positive.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to manage a range of work tasks and outcomes and liaise effectively with stakeholders.

**Essential Qualifications**:

- Have a current Positive Notice working with children Blue Card, or the ability to obtain one.
- Bachelor Degree in programming or related IT field.
- Experience working in an educational setting highly regarded.
