Laundry Attendant

Lions Haven is a leading not-for-profit 121 bed Residential Aged Care Facility in Hope Island. Our modern facility, which includes a 20 bed secure wing, offers a safe and comfortable environment to ensure quality of life to our residents, staff and visitors. **Job Overview**:
**Duties**:

- Sort, wash, dry, fold, iron, and package linens and garments
- Inspect items for stains or damages and pre-treat when necessary
- Operate laundry equipment following safety guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness of laundry area

**Requirements**:

- Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills

Ability and commitment to work as part of a team.
Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
High level of empathy and patience when dealing with elderly and vulnerable people and their families.
- Current influenza vaccination
- Current National Police Check (mandatory)
- Current COVID 19 Vaccination (mandatory)
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a hotel setting
- Ability to lift heavy loads and stand for extended periods - Attention to detail to ensure quality standards are met
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and use of laundry chemicals
