**About the Role**

As a Disability Support Worker, you will be providing person-centred active support to people living with disabilities on the Central Coast. The assistance you will be required to provide will differ on the support needs of each client, however, experience with personal care, manual handling, and behaviour support with clients of high behaviours of concern will be highly regarded. Due to the nature of these services, you will be required to work flexibly across a 24/7 roster and pick up a range of short and long hour shifts. We have shifts available in both Supported Independent Living and Lifestyle Community Services.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Support clients with daily personal care such as bathing, shaving and toileting
- Provide mobility assistance by lifting, transferring and hoisting clients
- Follow person-centred active support plans and behaviour support plans respectfully
- Help clients reach their goals through meaningful activities of their choice
- Track and document the changing needs of clients through thorough record-keeping
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, their families and your team
- Advocate for client choice and control in a way that is safe and compliant

**Skills & Experience**
- An unrestricted New South Wales driver’s licence
- Committed to work flexible work hours across the week, including public holidays
- Demonstrated ability to use basic technology and software on a mobile and desktop
- A current First Aid Certificate, which includes the course HLTAID003 or HLTAID011
