**Overview**

We are looking for an Orderly to provide a range of duties encompassing patient carte, cleaning, and portering, using correct methods, materials and equipment, contributing to the effective and efficient operation of the health unit.

This role requires the Orderly to assist with clients, in such a manner as to ensure the safety and well-being of everyone involved in accordance with the hospital policies and procedures.

This position involves working on a rotational 7 day shift roster, working afternoon and night shifts as rostered. It may include having to deal with aggressive or agitated clients occasionally.

Applicants will need to have proven:

- ability to work sell within a team environment and relate to all levels of staff;
- ability to meet deadlines and timeframes;
- effective interpersonal and communication skills and be able to relate to people from different cultures, backgrounds and circumstances;
- demonstrated ability to perform a variety of work involving manual handling
