**Overview**

The Leisure and Lifestyle Coordinator is responsible for the management, delivery, promotion and supervision of high-quality social inclusion therapy programs. The role requires flexible working relationships with staff and volunteers of the health service to assist these clients to achieve emotional, social and physical wellness at an optimum level.

The Leisure and Lifestyle Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of activities through the development, implementation and evaluation of a recreational and therapeutic leisure and lifestyle program aimed at enhancing the quality of life for these long stay patients.

The Leisure and Lifestyle Coordinator will promote the patients independence by facilitating their involvement in programs designed to maximise their potential. The activities will comprise of social and diversional group activities, individual stimulation and emotional support appropriate for a range of cognitive and physical abilities.

The role requires the monitoring of client’s status and liaison (when appropriate) with other service providers.
