**We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Clinical Coder to join our Corporate Services Team.**

**About the Role**:
This role reports to the Coding Operations Manager, Clinical Coding Service and involves handling intricate coding cases, consulting with clinicians, mentoring junior coders, and contributing to the assignment of Australian Refined Diagnosis Related Groups (AR-DRGs). Key **responsibilities** include:

- Proficiently translate narrative descriptions of diagnoses and procedures, including complex cases, into valid, accurate, and complete ICD-10-AM codes that reflect the patient's clinical picture, reason for admission, and treatment provided.
- Ensure the correct allocation of Principal Diagnosis, secondary diagnoses, and procedures in accordance with the Australian Coding Standards, resulting in optimal AR-DRG assignment.
- Collaborate with clinicians to determine the appropriate primary medical cause/diagnosis for more accurate coding.
