Lithgow Railway Workshop is a local privately owned business that services and maintains diesel locomotives and wagons. Employing 45 staff, we currently have a vacant position for a qualified Wagon Maintainer. This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a small team, within a growing organisation.

Reporting to the Wagon Maintenance Supervisor, you will be called upon to perform all facets of wagon preventative maintenance and repairs. This typically includes the inspection, trouble shooting, maintenance and repairs for all wagon rolling stock components and associated equipment including the following:

- Wheelsets
- Bogies
- Air Brake equipment (including testing)
- Pneumatic and hydraulic equipment
- Draft gear, couplers, yokes etc
- Hopper wagons & other specially designed wagons & heavy plant
- Doors, hatches, latches & fastenings, etc
- Wagon body structure
- Repairs to plant & equipment
- Other associated wagon components
- Conduct & sign off for Unit Train Maintenance in-line with Business Requirements
- Conduct FX exams and periodic inspections in-line with Business Requirements

Drivers license necessary (MR Licence highly desirable). Previous rail experience is essential. Forklift Licence would be desirable but not essential.

Also highly desirable are the proven ability to work as part of team, demonstrated value for safety, strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to problem solve.

Based in Lithgow some travel required to customers in Sydney and rural areas.

**Salary**: $61,269.00 - $65,513.00 per year

- 8 hour shift

- Chullora, NSW: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
