About the Role
As ANZ Plus’ Machine Learning lead, you will Develop and execute the strategic vision and roadmap to federate and manage ML at scale across the division. You will Lead, mentor, and manage a diverse team of Engineers including Data, analytics, Machine Learning and DevOps engineers and foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. You will Build and Run customer facing AI capabilities and operationally support multiple data products, platforms and services.
What will your day look like?
Foster a team culture of continual improvement and technical excellence.
Grow and develop your team’s technical engineering and interpersonal skills
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and business development, to integrate machine learning solutions into products and services.
Provide technical guidance and support on complex machine learning problems and projects.
Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of machine learning projects, ensuring they meet business objectives and deadlines.
Engage across Legal, Risk and Security partners to establish a blueprint for operationalising AI use cases to accelerate delivery velocity
Develop and run the platform, tooling and operating model to federate scaled delivery of AI across ANZ

Proven experience in developing and deploying machine learning models and solutions in a production environment.
Strong background in statistical analysis, data mining, and algorithm development
Expertise in machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java.
Passionate and empathetic leader of leaders with the ability to build a collaborative culture aligned to shared goals
Ability to influance both technical and business peers and stakeholders
Passionate people leader focused on growing engineering team from both a technical skills perspective and their personal career development.
Excellent leadership, influencing, communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset.
