We are seeking an Experienced Appliance Technician in Richmond NSW. Immediate start.
**The Role**
- Repair of fridges, washers, dryers, dishwashers & stoves.
- In home & workshop repairs
- Fully maintained vehicle
- Uniform & phone supplied to the successful applicant.
- Wages negotiable
**Responsibilities**
- Diagnosing appliance problems: You would use your knowledge and experience to identify the root cause of issues reported by customers or detected during routine inspections.
- Repairing appliances: Once the problem is identified, you would repair or replace faulty components, ensuring that the appliance functions properly again.
- Installing new appliances: When customers purchase new appliances, you may be responsible for properly installing them in their homes, connecting them to the necessary utilities, and ensuring they are in good working condition.
- Providing maintenance services: Regular maintenance can help prevent major issues with appliances. You might perform routine inspections and maintenance tasks to keep the appliances running smoothly and extend their lifespan.
- Offering advice and tips: You would often provide customers with advice on how to use and care for their appliances properly to avoid common problems and maximize their efficiency.
- Keeping records and documentation: Properly documenting your work, including details of repairs, parts used, and customer interactions, is crucial for organizational purposes and warranty claims.
- Staying updated on new technologies: Appliance technology is constantly evolving, so you would need to stay informed about the latest advancements to effectively service modern appliances.
- Ensuring safety and compliance: You would work with electrical and gas-powered appliances, so ensuring safety protocols are followed and complying with relevant regulations is vital.
- Managing inventory: If you work in a company or as part of a team, you may be responsible for managing and replenishing inventory of spare parts and tools required for repairs.
