About the role
The National Manager, Research Governance is responsible for implementing a strategic approach to research across Calvary, and supporting the growth and development of research programs important to Calvary’s Mission and Strategic Intent.

**Implementing a strategic approach to research will include**:
establishing a National Research Governance Framework,

supporting site compliance with the new Clinical Trials Governance Framework,

identifying the best platforms and developing structures to support researchers,

identifying and building partnerships and opportunities for internal and external research collaborations including funding sources,

promoting research and ensuring its value is recognised in contributing to Calvary’s Mission and clinical practice.

About you

Experience in a research governance management role with knowledge and understanding of research governance principles and practices, ideally in a medical research or health context.

A strong commitment to the philosophy and mission of Calvary and ability to work within and promote the national strategic direction of Calvary.

Qualification in the form of a degree supporting skills in health, organisation planning and change at a recognised and well-regarded tertiary education institution.

Demonstrated ability to foster excellence in research and effectively identify research opportunities.

Effective organisational abilities in academic and/or health system environments.

Capacity to work with others in a team environment working with a consultative, collaborative style and demonstrating outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

Highly developed written, verbal, analytical and numeracy skills with experience preparing executive style reports.

Preparedness to take initiative, a strong desire to achieve results and a professional work ethic.
