The **Women’s & Children’s Health Network** provides state of the art health care for women, babies, children and young people across South Australia. We are the state’s leading provider of specialist care for children with acute and chronic conditions as well as being SA’s largest maternity and obstetric service.

Our community-based services also reach hundreds of thousands of babies, children and young people, their families and communities across South Australia through our various services and programs in areas such as our Mental Health, Child & Family Health services, Youth Health and Aboriginal Health services.

**The Opportunity**

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Medical Records Services as a **Medical Record Officer** in a **Casual** role.**

As the **Medical Record Officer** you will be responsible for accurate and timely record services to all hospital departments / wards. You will work as part of a multi-skilled team contributing to an efficient and effective Medical Record and Patient Registration service and will work on a rotational roster within the Medical Records Department and Patient Registration.

The Medical Record Officer will contribute to a comprehensive high quality, proactive and responsive patient registration and reception service to the organisation and contribute to the accuracy, timeliness and maintenance of the organisation’s Patient Master Index. You will be responsible for upholding the integrity of the WCHN Medical Records (electronic and physical) including scanning, auditing, filing and complying with the departments Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

**About You**

To be successful in this role, you will use your sound communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with consumers, staff, external agencies and members of the public demonstrating a high level of interpersonal skills and incorporating conflict and aggressive behaviour management skills.

Ideally, you will be able to work independently, as part of team and to function in and promote a multi-disciplinary team approach. You should be able to undertake a large variety of diverse tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
