**Your opportunity**

Working as a casual After-Hours Support Worker at our Logan House residential alcohol and drug treatment centre, you’ll provide support and supervision to clients undertaking the six-week treatment program.

**What does this mean?**

Well, you’ll help to keep our clients emotionally safe while supporting and monitoring activities of the program. You’ll assist with medications, support guided meditations, and provide general help and support to clients during the day.

In this role you will be working across Logan Family recovery and Logan House. Shift times will vary. As a residential service we require shifts to be covered 24/7.
- Working after hours with some shifts entailing a sleepover component; most of the time these shifts start at 18:00 - 08:30 with the inactive sleepover being between 22:30-06:30.
- Working across Logan Family recovery and Logan House
- Minimum Cert IV in related discipline

Shift times vary but look like the following:
Logan Family Recovery:

- Monday - Friday 08:00 - 14:00 & 13:00 -19:00

Weekends 08:00 - 12:00 & 15:00 - 19:00

Logan House:

- Monday - Thursday 18:00 - 08:30 (22:30 - 06:30 Inactive Sleep Over)
- Friday 15:30 - 08:30 (22:30 - 06:30 Inactive Sleep Over)
- Saturday 08:00 - 17:30 & 15:30 - 08:30

Sunday 08:00 - 17:30 & 15:30 - 08:30

The salary range for this position is from $36 to $38.60 per hour plus casual loading, applicable penalties, and loadings.

- You’re able to manage the structured activities of the program during the evenings and ensure smooth hand over to the daytime staff.
- You’ve built positive relationships with your clients, enabling them to stick to the program and make positive change in their lives. You’re able to navigate the challenges of new situations, creating solutions and adapting on the spot.

**What you’ll bring**

As this is a casual role, we can’t always guarantee the number of shifts you might get, so you’ll need to be comfortable being called in as needed.

**In terms of the role itself, as this is a clinical role you will need**:
A minimum of Certificate IV in Community Services, AOD, Mental Health or a related discipline.**In addition, you will bring the following**:

- You’ll need to know how to set and maintain good boundaries - with clients, colleagues, and yourself. What we do isn’t always easy, so taking care of yourself is most important
- You’ll be comfortable working to a structure but have the capacity to be flexible and navigate the unexpected.
- You’ll be able to think on your feet, problem solve and handle pressure.
- You’ll have a genuine desire to support people in making a positive difference to their lives. You’ll be reliable, resilient, persistent, and non-judgmental.
