Curate exhibitions and specific exhibition projects from concept to installation stage as
part of the Cultural Centre’s annual in-house curated exhibition program. Assist with the
implementation of the broader annual exhibition program by way of developing interpretive
resources (room brochure, labels, QR code links, etc.) and assisting in installation and de
- installation of exhibitions. Develop and implement projects and touring exhibitions and
liaise with the community and arts industry.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Curate exhibitions and manage specific exhibition projects utilising collections,

historical and contemporary work and cultural material by artists/communities from
the region.
- Assist with the implementation of the Expose Exhibition Program
- Assist with the preparation and maintenance of exhibition galleries and associated

equipment for changing exhibitions
- Assist with the unpacking, design and installation, signage demounting and dispersal

of exhibitions
- Together with the Exhibitions Manager, condition report touring exhibitions and

works of art on loan, incoming and outgoing
- Research, drafting and editing of extended labels and didactic panels, room

brochures and exhibition catalogues to aid in the interpretation of exhibitions.
- draft and distribute routine correspondence in relation to activities: standard

information letters, letters of confirmation, requests for information, exhibition reports.
- provide information on exhibition program activities as requested by the Exhibitions

Manager, compile written reports for the Director and assist with program policy
- maintain meticulous records/files for exhibitions and assist in the maintenance of the

Cultural Centre’s filing system
- in accordance with the BMCC accounting procedures, organise quotes for service

and equipment as required

**Workplace Health & Safety**

**COMMUNICATION
- This job requires written communication skills which enable the job holder to write

complex and detailed technical reports, proposals and submissions.
- The jobholder is required to provide information to customers and assist with

routine service problems and should recognise when a problem is 'too delicate' or
'volatile' to be handled by self and refer to others.
- Required to provide service to internal customers as a regular part of the job.
