**About the Department for Correctional Services**

The Department employs approximately 2,000 staff and has responsibility for nine prisons and fifteen Community Correctional offices across the state. Our vision is for a safer community by protecting the public and reducing re-offending. **The Opportunity**

We’re seeking Human Resources Consultants to join our team, responsible for providing expert guidance on a variety of human resources, recruitment, and employment matters.

You'll collaborate closely with the Workforce Management teams and various business units to provide timely, consistent, and accurate advice on HR systems, recruitment, workforce management, change management, workforce strategy, and culture. Addressing and resolving people matters with professionalism and efficiency and ensuring our HR services are effective and compliant.

In addition to your advisory and customer support duties, you'll draft and review important documentation and supporting materials relating to the delivery of key HR services, ensuring accuracy, compliance and alignment with best practice and industrial instruments and legislation.

Day-to-day duties may include preparing reports, employment contracts/paperwork, correspondence, responding to queries for advice, undertaking end-to-end corporate recruitment processes, maintaining employee records on relevant HR systems, and supporting onboarding and offboarding processes.

**About You**

Demonstrated experience in producing written materials such as briefings, correspondence and advice to stakeholders and decision makers and the ability to consistently perform high volumes of work with close attention to accuracy and detail is essential.

You will be surrounded by highly skilled professionals and will gain valuable and broad advisory experience. Your close working relationship with Senior HR Consultants, will provide you with mentorship and leadership exposure enabling streamlined opportunities for professional development and career progression.

**Special Conditions**
- Section 47 of the Public Sector Act 2009 applies in conjunction with other provisions of the act and other applicable industrial entitlements
- The incumbent is required to satisfactorily complete a National Criminal History Check
- A current South Australian Driver’s Licence is essential
- A flexible approach to working hours is required
- Some interstate and intrastate travel will be required which may necessitate overnight absences.

**Requirements**:
Essential: Nil.
Desirable: Relevant Tertiary Qualifications in Human Resource Management, or other relevant discipline.

ASO4 ($76,561 - $80,256pa)
