What's the basic outline of the role?
- Drive the workshop’s success by leading our high performing team in the workshop
- Mentor and guide young and up coming apprentices
- A strong knowledge for diagnostics
- Complete periodic diesel engine maintenance
- Conduct mechanical repairs and regular preventative maintenance
- Build effective relationships with workshop staff
- Motivate and train workshop staff while maintaining targets and deadlines
- Conferring with the Service Advisor to obtain descriptions of vehicle problems, to discuss work to be performed and future repair requirements
- Paperwork with thorough and excellent communication skills
- Diagnosing and repairing unusual problems
- Assisting Technicians with their skills, providing technical support when needed
- Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of all mechanical issues and changes relating to dealer product range
- Ensuring that the workshop is in excellent condition in regard to cleanliness, safety and equipment condition

Who are we looking for?
- Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology
- Willing to work the night shift (4.00pm - 12.06am)
- Previous experience in your trade
- Excellent people management skills to mentor our Apprentices.
- Heavy Rigid Truck License
- A strong work ethic & ability to work collaboratively within a team
- High attention to detail
- A/C and RWC license? A bonus Not essential.
