NextSense has been breaking boundaries since 1860, and we’ve been expanding our services ever since. Today, we deliver world-class education, cochlear implant, allied health, therapy, research and clinical services to children, adults and their families.

We provide a holistic approach to hearing services for newborns through to people over 90 years old, and we help children who are blind or have low vision to develop the right skills, mobility and independence to confidently explore their world.

**The Role**

NextSense has an exciting opportunity for a Relationship Manager to join our team at North Rocks. This is a permanent full-time role and reports directly to Head of Philanthropy.

Other key responsibilities include:

- Actively seek face-to-face meetings with donors and potential donors to build strong relationships and solicit gifts, in addition to using multi-channel communication platforms
- Implement donor journeys and moves management plans to ensure effective communications and engagement with our supporters
- Provide opportunities for donors to engage with NextSense and our people via events, tours, and other experiences to connect with clients through storytelling and other communications
- Work with other members of the philanthropy team to develop the necessary material to grow the portfolio, including; strong case(s) for support, proposals, pitches, and campaigns
- Develop and maintain detailed and accurate records of all history, background, contact, and activity with supporters in our CRM (Raisers Edge - NXT, and classic view)
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the Philanthropy business plans and budgets to deliver the required performance outcomes in accordance with the fundraising strategy and broader organisational goals
- Reporting and evaluation - report on budget income and expenditure; report on status of your MD and MV portfolios and pipelines, including status of prospect lists, updates on stewardship, and solicitation activities
- Build and maintain strong networking relationships and keep abreast with the latest developments in the philanthropy sector, while networking and seeking connections within and outside the sector

**Desired Skills and Experience**:
To be successful in this role you'll need to demonstrate you meet the following selection criteria.
- Significant experience, and proven success, in business development and relationship management, experience in NFP fundraising environment desirable, with a successful track record of building a pipeline and closing sales/securing gifts
- Demonstrable results in developing and executing on strategy and creating strong value propositions for donors
- Strong capability in developing presentations and delivering to an audience
- Ability to initiate, cultivate, and maintain personal relationships with High-Net-Worth supporters
- Highly developed skills to influence individual giving through tailored ‘asks'
- Strong research and analytical capability
- An innovative and creative mindset prepared to try new thinking and approaches
- Strong financial analysis skills with demonstrated experience in budget management, pipeline management, reporting, and commercial acumen (eg FR&C GiftSearch, GEM Portal, and Raiser’s Edge)
- Experience and capability in developing and running successful supporter engagement events
