**The Department**
**Central Clinical School **encompasses the Departments of Anaesthesia and Perioperative Medicine, Clinical Haematology, Immunology and Pathology, Diabetes, Infectious Diseases, Diabetes, Gastroenterology, Allergy and Respiratory Medicine, Medicine, Neuroscience, and Surgery. CCS also includes the Australian Centre for Blood Diseases, Melbourne Sexual Health Centre, Monash Alfred Psychiatry research centre and the National Trauma Research Institute. It is located at the Alfred Research Alliance precinct in Melbourne. The school is involved in teaching students from both the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences and the Faculty of Science and its teaching and research is conducted at Alfred Health, Cabrini, Epworth Richmond, and Peninsula Health and at Clayton.
**The Role**
The Research Administration Coordinator provides high-quality research administrative support to all research staff and students at the Central Clinical School with primary duties relating to the Monash - Alfred clinical trials administration program. As a key member of the Research Management Team, the successful applicant will draw on their experience to perform a range of research administrative duties that include: assistance with identification, development and administration of research funding including in relation to clinical trials, research outputs administration and compliance with all internal and external research governance. They will also play a role in promoting research activities and ensure efficient and accurate collection and reporting of School research data.
**Qualifications/Experience**
- Working knowledge of administration matters pertaining to research in a tertiary and/or hospital setting
- Experience in grants & contract administration including a working knowledge of major funding schemes and an understanding of grant cycles and/or clinical trials administration
- Demonstrated high level organisation skills, including the ability to set priorities, manage time, plan work to meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure_ _
- Demonstrated ability to work as an effective member of a team and to work exercising independence, judgement and initiative
- Knowledge / experience of the Monash Pure research management system and /or Alfred Hospital Contract Max database system_ is desirable_
