**ABOUT THE ROLE**:
- Part Time Fixed Term 12 month position (0.6 FTE / 22.8 hours per week)
- Salary Band 6: $55,521 (pro rata) plus 11.5% superannuation
- Flexible working arrangements available
In this role you will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Ensuring processing of subdivision sign offs and decisions is in accordance with the provisions of relevant Acts, Regulations and Council policies and within statutory timelines.
- Providing information and assistance to planning enquiries at the counter and by telephone (as required) to members of the public and development community.
- Liaising with land surveyors, developers and internal staff ensuring plans submitted for approval comply with the requirements of the Title Office and Council.
- Participating in strategic town planning projects and initiatives within the unit, at the direction of the Manager Planning & Building.
**ABOUT YOU**:
To be successful, you will have:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in planning or engineering or a related discipline and/or relevant experience in administering the subdivision process.
- Knowledge and understanding of the subdivision processes to be able to effectively analyse and interpret legal documents, plans and legislation in relation to this.
- Proven experience working in a team environment, with the ability to foster trust and cooperation of others.
- Demonstrated ability to manage workloads within tight timeframes and develop innovative solutions to issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to prepare, clear, concise reports and make recommendations where required.
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, SPEAR and Outlook and experience in using databases.
