**Shop Manager**

**What is the purpose of this role?**

As a Shop Manager at MS Plus, your primary objective is to generate income that supports our mission to provide essential services to individuals living with Multiple Sclerosis and other neurological conditions, along with their families and caregivers. The role involves overseeing the day-to-day operations of the MS Community Shop to contribute to the financial goals necessary for sustaining our services and support programs.

**Your responsibilities are**:

- Open and close the shop daily, adhering to established operating times.
- Enforce and implement all shop policies and procedures, ensuring compliance from volunteers and staff.
- Maintain a clean, welcoming, and engaging shop environment for volunteers and customers.
- Prioritize safety for all, adhering to high-level safety standards.
- Contribute to setting financial goals and targets.
- Oversee processing and pricing of donated goods for sale.
- Undertake stock control functions.
- Submit daily sales figures and volunteer hours.
- Ensure secure handling of all on-premises money and practice safe banking procedures.
- Collect and maintain accurate data, information, and statistics.
- Provide timely and accurate reporting and analysis.
- Respond promptly to all communications.
- Merchandise the shop according to MS Plus standards.
- Train and develop volunteers to MS Plus standards.

**Skills & experience**:
You will have:

- Shop management experience.
- Strong people management skills.
- Multitasking and prioritization abilities.
- Intermediate computer literacy.
- Strong customer focus.
- Sound verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills.

Desirable:

- Experience with recycled goods.
- Experience working with volunteers.

MS Plus has been operating for more than 65 years, helping people living with multiple sclerosis live well - in Victoria, Tasmania, NSW, and ACT. We provide evidence-based advice, information, education, employment support, and around the clock support through our residential care services, as well as contributing funds to MS research.
