**Overview / Responsibilities**

Due to continued business growth, Mineral Technologies is currently seeking a Lead Project Engineer to join our multi-discipline engineering design team. As the Lead Project Engineer, you will oversee global projects and support and develop high quality designs for mineral processing plants and equipment. This role will oversee a team and will manage the multi-disciplined engineering projects to support strategic growth.

**Responsibilities**
- Manage and Oversee project design teams to develop and lead projects for various clients both nationally and internationally.
- Develop cost effective engineering solutions for the mineral sands and iron ore industry.
- Ensure the project conforms to the client’s approved Basis of Design and all applicable regulatory and code requirements.
- Manage project budgets, forecasting of costs and tracking progress to schedule.
- Planning and ensuring compliance with safety in design processes.
- Provide overall technical leadership on engineering design projects.
- Engage directly with the client to ensure a successful delivery of the project and continue to build the relationship.
- Coordinate the review of technical data across a multi-discipline engineering team.

**Skills / Qualifications**
- Degree qualified in Engineering preferably Mechanical or Process.
- End-to-end project management experience gained ideally working with mineral processing plants.
- Experience leading engineering teams in a design / design consulting environment.
- A strong understanding of design engineering design management associated with process plants and associated infrastructure.
- Exceptional service delivery focus working across both small to medium projects.
- Experience in delivering projects to the highest safety standards considering cost and schedule preparation.
- Demonstrated ability to build, maintain and nurture client relationships.
- Willingness to take ownership of work outcomes.
- Be flexible and adaptable to changes in priorities at short notice.
