Manager Community Engagement

Customer and Community Advocacy (CCA) sits within the Chief Operations Office (COO).

The Customer Outcomes team is part of Group Customer Advocacy and Vulnerability (GCAV) within CCA.

GCAV is the voice of our customers and communities making sure they're heard, understood and treated fairly - particularly those in vulnerable circumstances.

The Customer Outcomes team has four tightly knit functions:

- Advocacy
- Governance
- Insights
- Community Engagement

The Customer Outcomes Community Engagement function:

- performs research and gathers information from community experts to support the CBA Next Chapter program.
- provides SME support for CBA Next Chapter initiatives through planning, prioritisation and execution
- builds strong relationships with the community sector and provides a conduit for the business to seek targeted and timely community input into business decision making.
- ensures community voice is brought back to the Bank and federated as actionable insights to improve customer outcomes in line with community expectations.
- increases community awareness of services and support provided by the Bank, including CBA Next Chapter

**Your Impact and contribution**

The Manager Community Engagement will support the Senior Manager Community Engagement to deliver the team's strategic agenda within the GCAV team by working on delivering projects and initiatives and BAU activities that support.

Through your contribution in these activities and BAU engagement with external stakeholders and internal stakeholders across the Group, you will build awareness of the team's work and the Community Engagement Team.

You will report to the Senior Manager, Community Engagement

**Do work that matters**
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with critical community stakeholders leading to acknowledgment and, where appropriate, endorsement of Group practices/policies and to maintain focus on community-critical issues - including domestic & family violence (DFV)
- Support the development, growth and performance of the CBA Next Chapter program
- Support the embedding of the Community Engagement framework enabling effective engagement across the Group and ensure that lived experience and community perspectives are incorporated into product and initiative development.
- Understand the external environment and changing community expectations and providing and facilitating the gathering and dissemination of insights - including emerging issues in DFV and financial abuse - so that the Group can proactively respond to these changes.
- Liaise with community organisations and stakeholders who support customers experiencing vulnerability to understand and enhance their experiences when dealing with Commonwealth Bank
- Support the team to ensure key community issues relating to vulnerability are managed, monitored, tracked and appropriately escalated.
- Support the implementation and action of the Commonwealth Bank Community Council developed to provide a relationship building forum, between CBA and community groups and to listen to, amplify and inform the business of community concerns.
- Support the Senior Manager Community Engagement in the delivery of the Group Customer Advocacy and Vulnerability community visit program, including engagement with relevant Business Units, identification of local stakeholders and scheduling itineraries.
- Be an ambassador for the progressive thinking of the Group's support for customers in vulnerable circumstances.
- Represent the Group in internal and external forums and conferences about vulnerability, DFV support (via CBA Next Chapter) and program gambling support.
