**On Job Training**
- As a Refractory Assistant
- Demolition of refractory lining
- Scaffolds to 3 meters
- Use of brick saw
- Preparation of standard operating procedures

**Internal Training**
- As a refractory installation assistant Level 1 plus:

- Pendant crane driver of forklift
- Explosive power tools
- Refractory installation practices: Casting, Gunning, Ramming
- Crane chasing and forklift driver WorkCover certificate
- Non-structural welding
- Operation and maintenance of air-operated tools and equipment
- Forklift, dogman, rigger
- Overhead Crane and Class 3 truck license
- OH&S training

**Duties and Skills Required**
- Reed gun operation and maintenance
- Brick saw experience
- Weld class 2
- General refractory knowledge
- Basic drawing knowledge
- Basic understanding of quality assurance
- Allentown basic
- Basic nozzle skills
- Competent trowelling, concrete pump, ceasefire pump
- Conduct safety observation as required.
- Participate in safety observations as required and assist in carrying out task-specific Risk Assessments and Develop Work Method Statements as required.

Other duties may include - liaising with shift workers in the Refractory department and customer departments. Take guidance and directions from higher level department employees.

Base Salary $49.24 per hour as per award.

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay

**Experience**:

- Refractory: 1 year (required)

- Australia (preferred)
