Construction Trainee

**CONSTRUCTION TRAINEESHIP**

Do want a career in Construction but have no work experience or certificates?

Active Queenslanders Industry Alliance is running an 18-week paid traineeship with practical experience in a real work situation. Work will be conducted at a sports club in Carina and commences mid-December 2023.

**You will**:

- Complete a Certificate I in Construction qualification
- Gain practical experience in real work situations that align with your training
- Complete paid work that can be included in your work history
- Receive additional training in First Aid and White Card.
- PPE will be provided.

**Hours**: Monday to Friday 7am - 3pm

**To be successful you must**:

- Commitment and enthusiasm with a genuine interest in construction
- Have your own reliable transport (driver's licence and car preferred but not essential as work site is close to public transport)

**Who can apply?**
- Unemployed
- Australian Citizen, Australian Permanent Resident, New Zealander or temporary resident with the necessary visa and work permits on the pathway to a permanent residency
- Must be a Queensland resident, and not enrolled at school, university or TAFE
- Have not previously completed a Certificate I in Construction
- Not in full time/stable employment
