**About Great River City Light Rail**
- Western Sydney is one of the fastest growing regions in our country, with the population of Greater Parramatta alone set to climb by 50 per cent by 2041 and at Great River City Light Rail we want to create new communities, connect great places and help locals and visitors move around and explore what the region has to offer. The new Light Rail will connect Westmead to Carlingford via the Parramatta CBD and Camellia, spanning 12 kilometres and utilising state-of-the-art vehicles that delivers comfortable, user-friendly and high-performance services. By 2026, around 28,000 people will use Parramatta Light Rail every day and an estimated 130,000 people will be living within walking distance of light rail stops.

**The role**
- As part of our commitment to your career development we are seeking Electricians with either Certificate III in Electrotechnology or a current unrestricted Electrician licence to join our Assets team. In addition to working across the maintenance activities supporting our Signalling & Control Systems, we will pay for your Cert IV Electrical - Rail Signalling. You will still have the opportunity to work on planned preventive maintenance, inspection, reactive and corrective maintenance and responding to emergencies, incidents, and any related asset failures.

**What you bring**
- You will hold Certificate III in Electrotechnology or a current unrestricted Electrician licence and be willing to study for your Certificate IV in Electrical - Rail Signalling (supported by the business).Your high-level problem-solving skills will allow you to manage difficult situations including responding to emergencies and restoring assets after incidents. This will be supported by the ability carry out asset inspections and undertake fault finding and ensure asset reliability. Equally important is the ability to engage and build effective working relationships both internally and externally.
