Bookkeeping / Accounting Trainee

This is a great opportunity for a school leaver wanting office work and thinking of entering the accounting/bookkeeping world.

WE WORK A 4 DAY WEEK, but still full time from Monday to Thursday - 38 hours per week. Enjoy a long weekend every weekend.

We are a Bookkeeping business based in Sutherland with a team of 10 busy bookkeepers.
We are walking distance from Sutherland train station. On a day to day basis we assist small business owners by taking care of their bookkeeping and payroll.

The successful applicant will be trained and mentored through their traineeship over the next 2 years and will attain:

- Cert III Finance
- Cert IV Bookkeeping/Accounting

You will need to enjoy working with numbers and have strong basic maths skills.

While the traineeship is for 2 years, we are looking for a long term employee to stay with us beyond their traineeship. There is opportunity for promotion and growth to a senior bookkeeper where you will still do bookkeeping, but train new incoming juniors, review work, perform internal audits.

The main software products we use is XERO. You will be trained on these and will become skilled in:

- Data entry
- Bank reconciliations
- Payroll
- BAS
- Understanding financial reports.

To be eligible for this position you must not hold any qualification equal to or higher than a diploma in this field.
