Braille and Large Print Services are seeking a dynamic Support Officer to join our library team. This is a physically active role supporting the production of braille and large print curriculum resources for blind and low vision students who are supported in Department of Education schools across the state.

**About the role**
- Provide administrative and clerical support including handling or redirecting enquiries, dealing with library requests, dealing with mail and correspondence and providing high-quality word-processing services to support the operation of Braille & Large Print Services.
- Maintain administrative systems and registers including library systems and registers, asset registers, travel records and other administrative systems to support the effective operation of Braille & Large Print Services.
- Maintain the computerised record management system (HP Records Management) and coordinate the creation, storage, retrieval and archiving of files to ensure the accurate and safe storage of information and its compliance with Departmental policy.
- Prepare and follow up purchases for equipment and supplies to support the operation of Braille & Large Print Services.
- Enter and retrieve data from databases to support the effective operation of Braille & Large Print Services.
- Liaise with the site manager and other departmental staff to support the resolution of issues relating to the safety and security of staff.

**Essential requirements of the role**
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education
- Hold a valid clearance to work with children (Working with Children Check) for paid employment
