**About the role**

The RaboResearch Agriculture Sustainability Analyst position is a critical role within the RaboResearch team and will help to guide Rabobank and our clients towards a more sustainable future. We are looking for a specialist within agriculture and farming practices with strong knowledge of sustainability and sustainable farming methods in both cropping and livestock. You will focus on generating knowledge and insight on a range of topics from climate change and biodiversity to decarbonization on farm and soil health.

Some of the Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities include:

- Doing research is at our core. You take ownership of and perform research projects from conceptualization to timely delivery of high-quality views and research products.
- Undertake high-quality industry research and analysis related to sustainability in food & agri (F&A) especially at farm level for use by both internal and external stakeholders.
- Undertake strategic analysis of companies and sustainability themes
- Produces high-quality views (original, thought leadership ideas, backed up by data/analysis) that are commercially relevant (opportunities/risks).
- Aligns with other analysts on the research agenda locally and globally.
- Takes ownership of research processes from conceptualization to delivery of final product.
- Cooperation and stakeholder engagement in a dynamic environment. Your expertise, creativity, analytical and social skills will be used to generate relevant insights yourself as well as to guide and support colleagues. As a team player, you are used to cooperating and creating support and buy-in from others via contagiously passionate and convincing reasoning. You identify and prioritize new research needs and align these with our team’s resources, planning, and know-how requirements. Confronted with opportunities or setbacks, you proactively propose actions and solutions.
- Contributes to the RaboResearch knowledge base by sharing and aligning new reports and views in the Global sector library (SharePoint) and within the regional teams, and by being an active member in regional and global sector teams.
- Engages with clients by delivering thought leadership on key strategic themes. Prepare and deliver presentations in person or virtually at seminars, client functions, industry conferences, field days, and corporate meetings.

**For the role, you will need**
- Strong knowledge of sustainability and farming practices in cropping and livestock gained through at least 3-5 years of experience in a corporate or industry-based role
- Knowledge of economic theory and how agriculture interacts with the wider economy
- Established research networks
- Willingness to engage collaboratively with local and global colleagues to deliver impactful insights to our clients,
- Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills,
- To work with large sets of data and to derive clear messages based on analysis, and
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills along with well-developed written and verbal communication skills
